Out of the wreck I rise... O. Chambers

God does not keep His child immune from trouble; He promises, "... I will be with him in trouble" Psalm 91:15. It doesn't matter how real or intense the adversities may be; nothing can ever separate us from our relationship to God. "In all these things we are more than conquerers."Romans 8:37 Paul was not referring to imaginary things but to things that are dangerously real. And he said we are "super victors" in the midst of them not because of our own doing, but because of the love of our Lord Jesus Christ in us! Out of the wreck I rise every time!!!

Oswald Chambers My Utmost for His Highest

May you all continue to do just that and continue to share these truths with the Haitian believers.

May we all give our "utmost for His highest" always,

Prayerful for you all, & can't wait to hear what tomorrow brings!

Amy here. Today the medical team and one haitan doctor saw ninety five clinic patients. We also had an awesome lunch that dr morquette made for us. Teri and I painted some earthquake cracks that were fixed with Mortar. Then we made huge progress on organizing medical supplies. We loved the kids and got lots of hugs and kisses. The guys joined the kids in a soccer game after working all day. We experiened the roads and survived without any incidents. It was a great day and we love the morquettes. Yummy mango best ever time to eat.

Just read this by Dr. Charles Stanley

Troubled? Try Praise!Deuteronomy 20:1-4
A lot of negative emotions accompany hardship: frustration, despair, fear, and doubt. People ruled by those feelings often make poor choices. This is why I recommend that you decide now to respond to troubled times the way the Israelites did: with praise. Even in the darkest hours, worshipping God fills the heart with joy and the mind with peace. A believer who is filled in this way can wisely keep a commitment to obey the Lord no matter what.
Worshipping the Lord enlarges our vision. By doing so, we begin to see how He is at work in the world, perhaps in ways and places we never noticed before. More particularly, we see what God is doing in our situation and notice areas where He requires our obedience.
Our human tendency is to plot a course through a situation toward the easiest solution. But believers who strike out on their own do not mature in faith. Moreover, they miss out on the blessings of following the Lord's plan. Stopping to praise can divert us from the easy way out and direct us to the right path—namely, the way of God's will. Taking a step forward in faith can be frightening. However, believers are completely safe risking their whole future on the Lord's faithfulness. He has never disappointed anyone!
It's hard to despair while honoring the Lord for His love and strength. We can dispel doubt by recalling His past faithfulness—and ease frustration by committing our future plans to Him.
Praise is not the obvious reaction to hardship, but it is the wisest response.
a hymn of praise
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer! Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim! Hail Him! hail Him! highest archangels in glory; Strength and honor give to His holy Name! Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children, In His arms He carries them all day long.
Chorus:
Praise Him! praise Him! tell of His excellent greatness; Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!
Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer! For our sins He suffered, and bled and died. He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus the Crucified. Sound His praises! Jesus who bore our sorrows; Love unbounded, wonderful, deep and strong.
Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer! Heav'nly portals loud with hosannas ring! Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever;
Crown Him! crown Him! Prophet and Priest and King! Christ is coming! over the world victorious, Pow'r and glory unto the Lord belong.
JR and team-praying for all of you!
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

This is fitting for the Haitians!!

Great to hear that is was a great day. Continue to build those relationships.
We just got home, we worked at the church tore down a 50 foot wall dug a 20 inch by 3 foot by 50 foot long tranch to set a footer for a brand new wall, unloaded a half semi full of center block, Paster Jules had about 15 parishners their to help us. They were unbelievable! Even the women helped. All ofthe Haitians we have met have been incredibly nice. Thank you all so much for the prayers and blogs, they have been so encouraging for us all. I will post some great pictures in a while. With love and gratitude, JR

Miss you dad!

I hope you guys are staying safe and make sure you drink lots of water! little Miss Amelia keeps saying in her little words," dad where are you" with her little hands around her mouth as she was shouting it out. Just wanted you to know she hasn't forgotten about you!

Today in the Word/John 1:1-18

John 1
The Word Became Flesh 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.
6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.[b]
10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent,[c] nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[d] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' " 16From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. 17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only,[e][f]who is at the Father's side, has made him known.

I love the verse - "through Him all things were made" - all the people you will see were all made by God the way he wanted. I know that you all know this, but it struck me a different way while I was praying for you guys this AM - we are all made in God's image - it just hit a cord this AM as I go thru my day and look at people and see them as God's creation, which is awesome.

TODAY ALONG THE WAYAs a child of God, you can turn to Him with your most private and pressing needs. Just as President Obama’s daughters can come to the president for help with their homework or problems with friends, we can beseech the Most High for help with our lives. In fact, God desires this kind of daily interaction with His children. What worries are pressing on your heart today? What burdens are you trying to carry on your own? Won’t you tell your Father right now? He can help you.

Great words on encouragement today - we are praying for you all daily. Be strong in the Lord.
